Every sector has been taken care off in J&K budget: Shetty

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday welcomed the union budget for Union Territory and said every sector has been taken care off.
BJP J&K chief spokesman Sunil Shetty on Tuesday said that Union Territory of J&K received a record budget during the current fiscal.
The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented a whooping Rs 1,18,500 Cr budget of Jammu and Kashmir during the fiscal year of 2023-24 in the parliament yesterday.
“This is the highest ever budget compared to any previous financial year that caters to all important sectors including tourism”, Shettey said during a press conference in Srinagar on Wednesday.
Flanked by Jammu and Kashmir BJP Spokesman Altaf Thakur, Shetty welcomes the union budget and says every sector has been taken care off.
Shetty said that during the important sectors of service sector, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, agro based industry, tourism (including film & medical tourism) have been duly taken care of in the budget.
He said a huge focus on smart cities and women folk are the steps hailed by one and all.
He said that under the budget, a new push has been given to women folk which includes introducing pink taxis.
“In addition, various other measures have been taken to improve the business environment through ease of doing business, economic package, operation of night flights from Jammu and Srinagar, etc,” he said. UNI
