New Delhi: Delhi BJP on Friday welcomed a court’s decision to send former state deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia to seven days in Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody, saying “law is taking its course”.
“Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party are immersed in corruption and the countdown for their downfall has started,” Delhi BJP Working President Virendra Sachdeva said here.
Sachdeva’s comments came after Delhi Special Court Judge MK Nagpal remanded the AAP leader, arrested on the allegations of corruption in the Delhi liquor policy case, to ED custody for seven days.
Sachdeva said BJP has been saying since the beginning that Arvind Kejriwal is the mastermind of this whole scam…adding the day is not far when Kejriwal will also be inside the jail.
Responding to the statement of AAP MP Sanjay Singh, Sachdeva said now Sanjay Singh also needs to be careful because it is in the general news that Sanjay Singh’s name is also among the beneficiaries of the liquor scam.
Sachdeva said “Kejriwal is a master of lies and he works to save his corrupt ministers by telling lies”.
“After Satyendar Jain, now Sisodia’s going inside the jail exposes his politics of lies and now he should start defending himself because the culprits have taken his name in their statements” he added. UNI
