Jammu: The All Jammu and Kashmir Transport Welfare Association on Friday ‘refused’ to support the day-long Jammu shutdown call given by the Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu on Saturday to protest against the Property Tax being imposed by the government from April 1.
As per the statement issued by the Transporters Association, they have decided not to support the Jammu Bandh call given by CCI Jammu for March 11.
“We the transporters of J&K (UT) consisting of all types of commercial vehicles including trucks, tankers, taxis, buses, minibuses, auto rickshaws, etc will be unable to extend the support to the bandh call by the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and the transport facility will remain functional across the Union Territory,” it read.
