Jammu: A woman doctor was stabbed to death while his male colleague injured himself critically with a knife in the Janipur area of Jammu, police said on Wednesday.
Police said a male doctor (30), a resident of Janipura was severely injured when he stabbed himself while his friend, who was also a doctor (27), was stabbed to death around midnight of Tuesday.
“The lady doctor was in Delhi and visited the Janipur area to meet his doctor friend,” police added.
On getting information about the incident, a police team was rushed to the spot and shifted the seriously wounded doctor to the hospital.
A case under section 302 of IPC and other relevant sections has been registered while the investigation into the case is in progress.
