Mau (UP): House of Abbas Ansari, son of mafia-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari and MLA from Mau Sadar seat, in Dakshin Tola area of Mau district here in Uttar Pradesh was demolished by administration, police sources said.
Police sources said that there is a two-storied house in Jahangirabad in the name of Abbas and Umar Ansari. “The City Magistrate had declared the house illegal and had issued to demolish it. Mukhtar’s sons had filed a plea in the Allahabad High Court against the order of the lower court,” they said.
Police sources said that the High Court sent the file to District Magistrate court in Mau again. “On the demolition order of the DM the exercise to raze down the house started on Friday. The cost of the house is estimated to be around Rs 1.25 crore,” they said.
