Mumbai: The Rupee on Thursday gained eight paise to close at 82.71 on selling of US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit that surged 18 paise at 82.62 in opening trade, during the session, it erased earlier gains but ended positive only at 82.71, rising 8 paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee recorded intra day high and low at 82.60 and 81.73 respectively.
