Two senior officials of India and the US on the way to Dhaka

Dhaka: Two senior officials of India and the United States would be visiting Bangladesh on Tuesday, coincidentally they are coming to Dhaka on the same day.
Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka this evening from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. US State Department Counselor Derek Chollet from Washington is expected to arrive in Dhaka soon.
Vinay Mohan Kwatra and Derek Chollet schedule of courtesy meeting with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina tomorrow Wednesday has been finalized. Apart from this, they will hold several official meetings during the visit.
Vinay Mohan Kwatra will arrive in Dhaka this evening on a special flight of the Indian Air Force. On a two-day visit, he will participate in a Foreign Secretary-level meeting with Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen tomorrow.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended a special invitation to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the G-20 summit to be held in September. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to attend this conference. Bangladesh-India foreign secretary level meeting in Dhaka tomorrow will discuss the proposed visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to New Delhi in addition to various issues related to bilateral interests.
Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that several high-level meetings will be held between the two countries this year as part of preparations for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to India. These meetings may be discussed between the two foreign secretaries tomorrow.
Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra is scheduled to have a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Abdul Momen during his visit to Dhaka.
Derek Chollet is an American foreign policy advisor and author currently serving as the Counselor of the United States Department of State. Previously, Chollet was the Executive Vice President for security and defense policy at the German Marshall.
