PM Modi inaugurated two new routes of Mumbai Metro

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated two new routes of Mumbai Metro in the presence of Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated Mumbai Metro Rail Line 2A and 7 to the nation, these have been constructed at a cost of Rs 12,600 crore.
Targeting the opposition Modi said, “This work should have been done long ago but in between some time due to lack of double engine government, every work was obstructed and the beneficiaries had to suffer.”
PM Modi added “today everyone feels that India is doing some important work for rapid development and prosperity. The spirit of ‘Swaraj’ and ‘Suraj’ inspired by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is reflected in the double engine government in Maharashtra today.”
He added “today the inauguration and foundation stone of the development works of Rs 40,000 crore related to the development of Mumbai has taken place. All these are going to prove to be better for the city of Mumbai. I congratulate all the beneficiaries and residents of Mumbai.”
Prime Minister said that “Mumbai should have a very important metro, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus should be modernized, roads should be improved and a hospital named after Balasaheb Thackeray should be opened in the city of Mumbai”
