New Delhi: Shankar Mishra arrested on the allegations of urinating on a woman passenger in Air India flight between New York and Delhi submitted before the court that she herself urinated and falsely implicated him.
Counsel for Sharma submitted before the court that Women was suffering from some disease related to prostate and herself urinated. He submitted that Shankar is not an accused and not committed the offensive act as alleged.
The court has passed an order to 14 days judicial custody to accused Shankar Mishra on January 7 and also dismissed his bail application.
It is alleged that Mishra urinated on a 70-year-old woman in an intoxicated condition in business class of an Air India flight on last year November, 26.
Delhi Police have registered an FIR under various sections of Indian Penal Code and Indian Aircraft Act against Mishra and arrested Mishra from Bengaluru.
Police have submitted that Shankar Mishra has been non-cooperative in this matter and was deliberately not joining the investigation.
The police is seeking the custodial interrogation of Shankar from the court of Additional Session Judge with filing a revision petition while the same was rejected by the Metropolitan Magistrate on January 7.
