Tremors felt in J&K

Srinagar: An earthquake of moderate intensity jolted the parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, officials said. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured on the Richter scale 5.9 with the epicenter at 70.66 in the East and 36.39 in North Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan. The tremors were felt for a few seconds. The tremors were felt at 07.55 pm with the 200 km depth north east of Srinagar. There was no report of loss of life or damage to property. UNI
