Jammu: The toll in IED blast has swollen to two as another minor girl succumbed to injuries in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Notably, on Sunday four people were killed in terror attack and seven suffered injuries.
A blast took place near the site of Sunday firing incident in which four people were killed and seven injured.
“A minor girl who was among six persons injured in an Improvised Explosive Device blast on Monday morning in Dangri area of Rajouri district, succumbed to her injuries,” hospital sources said.
Theek added that with the death of the minor girl, the toll in the blast has reached to two.
Meanwhile Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha tweeted, “I strongly condemn the cowardly terror attack in Rajouri. I assure the people that those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families.”
“An ex-gratia of Rs. 10 lakh and a Govt job would be given to the next of kin of each of those civilians martyred in dastardly attack. Seriously injured would be given Rs.1 lakh. Officials have been directed to ensure best treatment to injured,” said Sinha.
However, National Investigation Agency team visited Upper Dangri village to investigate the matter.
*Six have been killed so far and many injured in two separate terror attacks in Upper Dangri village since Sunday evening,” they added.
The Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh visited Dangri and met with the families of the deceased, who died in a terrorist attack.
He said terrorists carried out cowardly acts and the accused will be hunted down.
