Jammu resident dies in road accident at Kangra

Kangra: A Jammu resident was killed on the spot and another was injured at Sunehar, falling under Nagrota Bagwan police station in Kangra district, when their motor cycle was hit by a speedy vehicle on Monday, police said here on Tuesday.
Kangra Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Khaushal Sharma told UNI that under Police Station Nagrota Bagwan on Monday the driver of a vehicle allegedly driving at high speed negligently and recklessly hit the motorcycle at Sunehar leaving one person dead on the spot and another injured.
SSP said in this road accident, the above motor cycle driver Akshit resident of Chinaur Jammu and Kashmir and Mukesh pillion rider were injured and both were rushed to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College Kàngra at Tanda for treatment where Mukesh, also a resident of Jammu was declared brought dead by the doctors at Tanda Hospital. Akshit, motorcycle driver, resident of Channur Jammu, was under treatment at Tanda Hospital.
SSP said in this connection a case under Sections 279 and 304 ( A) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Nagrota Bagwan Police station against the erring driver.
