‘Unsound’ Person Kills 3 People, Injure As Many Others With ‘Lathi’ In Anantnag

Anantnag: A woman was among three persons killed and atleast as many persons were injured after an alleged mentally unsound person attacked them with a ‘lathi’ in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.

A top police officer told GNS that the incident took place at Ashmuqam area of the district. He said that all several persons injured were shifted to hospital, however three of them unfortunately succumbed to their injuries. He said a case has been registered with regard to the incident. He said that the person has been arrested.

Meanwhile the sources identified the deceased persons as Ghulam Nabi Khadim son of Asadullah, Hafiza Begum, mother of the attacker, and  Mohammad Amin Shah, all residents of Aishmuqam. Among injured three were identified asAbdul Rehman Wani son of M Amin  Wani and Mohammad Sultan Saka son of Mohammad Yousuf, all residents of Aishmuqam.(GNS)
