NIA declares a cash reward against 4 TRF militants

Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has put a reward money of Rs 10 lakh each on four militants of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)’s shadow organisation The Resistance Front.

The posters announcing the reward money for the four including two Pakistanis were pasted in parts of south Kashmir.

The NIA announced a Rs 10 lakh reward against each of the four TRF militants including Basit Ahmed Dar, a resident of Kulgam, Sajjad Gul of Srinagar, Salem Rehmani of Sindh Pakistan and Saifullah Sajid Jatt, resident of Punjab Pakistan.

Out of the four, the photograph of Saifullah Sajid Jatt was not there on the poster.

“The identity of the informer shall be kept secret,” the poster read.

The four are wanted by NIA in a case which was registered against the LeT’s frontal group TRF in 2021. The case relates to activities of TRF commanders who have been actively radicalising, motivating and recruiting youth of J&K for indulging in violent activities in J&K and other parts of India.
