Delhi court to hear Satyendar Jain’s plea for contempt action against ED on Tuesday
New Delhi: Delhi Special court adjourned for November, 22 for hearing on a plea moved by Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendar Jain seeking contempt proceedings against the Enforcement Directorate(ED) for CCTV footage leakage of his prison to the media.

1st Link Special Judge MPs/MLAs Cases, Geetanjali Goyal, after hearing said,” An application for directions to the DG Prison and Superintendent, Tihar Central Jail for providing food to the applicant as per religious beliefs and for conduct of medical examination has been filed on behalf of Accused Satyendar Jain. Put up for consideration of both applications on 22.11.2022.

The matter was scheduled to come up for a hearing for today but the same was adjourned for Tuesday as Special Judge, Vikash Dhull was on leave.

Special Judge Vikas Dhull on Saturday directed to the Investigating Agency to file the response of Jain’s plea, who alleging the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for leaking the CCTV footage from inside the Tihar jail despite an undertaking given in the court by the Investigating Agency.

During the bail application of Jain, ED alleged that Jain is getting special treatment inside the jail. The court had ordered the ED and Jain’s not to leak any content of affidavits and video in this regard and had taken their undertakings in the matter before the court.

Investigating Agency has accused Jain under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act by having laundered money through four companies allegedly linked to him.
