Abdullahs anguished over death of 2 kids in Lolab fire incident  

Srinagar: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have expressed profound grief over the charring of two minors in a tragic fire incident on the preceding night, at Kakkadpatti in Diver Lolab area in Kupwara.

The duo expressed heartfelt commiserations to the aggrieved family of Mohammad Akbar Khan who tragically lost two minor children in the fire that engulfed his house. They prayed for peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved household to bear the irreparable loss.

District President Kupwara Qaiser Jamshed Lone participated in the Namaz-e-Janaza of the siblings and conveyed his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved.

Meanwhile Party’s Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Senior leader Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Zone President Javed Dar, District President Qaisar Jamsheed Lone have also commiserated with the bereaved family and sought an enquiry into the tragic incident. They asked the government to  punish erring  Fire and Emergency department officials for their negligence in saving the precious lives. The functionaries have also impressed upon the district administration to compensate the material losses incurred by the victim family. (GNS)
