PM to dedicate Fertiliser plant to nation on Nov 12
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to dedicate to the nation the prestigious gas based urea manufacturing plant of Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) at Ramagundam, on November 12.
The Union government pumped in Rs 6,120 crore for the RFCL, a joint venture company of National Fertilisers Limited (NFL), Engineers India Limited (EIL) and Fertiliser Corporation of India Limited (FCIL), which started commercial operations in March last year, sources said.
However, till date, there is no official communication from the Prime Minister’s office to the Chief Minister’s Office here about the proposed visit to the state.
This was disclosed during an informal interaction with the media persons by Telangana Industries Minister K.T Rama Rao.
Officials from the central government and Ramagundam police have already inspected the Fertilizers plant and decided to build a helipad at the Mahatma Gandhi stadium in the NTPC township, the sources added.
