Hamirpur (HP): Indu Goswami, BJP Rajya Sabha MP said she was not in the race for the post of Chief Minister in the state in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections.
“I am very happy as a worker of the party which is being led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party has honoured me by making Rajya Sabha MP,” she said Thursday.
The present BJP government in the state was doing its best to help the people as per their expectations, she added.
She told the media that the Congress was scrambling to get power back and efforts were being made to mislead the people by giving false allurements.
But their aims would not be fulfilled as people know their past and will not commit a mistake to bring them back to power once again, she added.
Questioning the 10 guarantees of the Congress, the Rajya Sabha MP said even after 75 years of independence, the Congress has been trying to get the votes of women by alluring them with just Rs 1,500.
Such activities will not lead the Congress power.
She said every BJP worker gave his services during the Covid period to help the suffering mankind but Congress leaders were nowhere seen during the world-wide crisis.
