Azad meets several delegations in Jammu

Jammu: Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday met scores of delegations during his four days visit to Jammu.
As per the spokesman, Azad, apart from addressing the public meeting, also met more than 350 delegations cutting across region, religion and sections from all the 43 constituencies of Jammu region.
“The representatives from various delegations who met Azad, extended support to his future endeavours,” said the spokesman in a handout issued here.
He added that besides political delegations, many delegations from civil society, unemployed youth, refugees, Kashmiri Pandits, PoK migrants, Rajput Sabha Jammu and Kathua, Christian Peace Missionaries, Jammu Adhikar Manch, Traders Federation and Bar Association Members also met Azad and apprised him about concerns and grievances.
Azad gave a patient hearing to the delegates and thanked them for all support and assured them cooperation in taking their genuine demands to the logical conclusion.
Azad here on September 4 also addressed a public rally and raised a demand of restoration of Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir with protections of rights to land and employment for the citizens.
He severed his five decades old association with Congress recently.
