No money spent on 39 schemes by Kejriwal govt in Delhi: Patra

New Delhi: BJP on Saturday alleged that Delhi government has failed to spend the development funds and no money was spent on the 39 schemes in Delhi.

“The Delhi government failed to use the development funds, and hence it lapsed. As per the CAG report, 39 schemes are only on papers. No money was spent on 39 schemes” said BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra at a press conference at party headquarters, New Delhi.

“As per the CAG report, the debt of Delhi increased by 7 per cent in the four-year period up to 2019-20” he said.

Refuting Kejriwal’s claim, that 10 lakh jobs have been provided to the people, Patra said, “In a response to an RTI, only 3,246 were given jobs. In another RTI, it was revealed that they gave jobs to only 849 people”.

Criticising the Delhi government over Liquor policy, he said Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia played their part and gave the benefit to the liquor mafia friends funds of Rs 144 crore.

“The Delhi cabinet first got everything passed like the excise policy then after that they withdrew it because they knew that they had made a mistake” Patra said.
