Putin to hold talks with Erdogan on August 5

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks in Sochi with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on August 5, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik.
On Tuesday, Turkish state-run broadcaster TRT Haber reported that Erdogan would leave for Sochi in early August. According to them, during the talks in Sochi, the leaders will discuss the situation in Ukraine and assess the “food deal” signed in Istanbul.
“Yes,” Peskov said, when asked if a meeting between Putin and Erdogan was planned in Sochi on August 5.
The Russian and Turkish presidents last met in Tehran at a trilateral summit on Syria a week ago.
Later, on July 22, in Istanbul, documents were signed on lifting restrictions on the export of Russian agriculture products and on Russia’s assistance in the export of Ukrainian grain. The deal, which was concluded by Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN, involves the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizers across the Black Sea from three ports, including Odessa.
