COVID: J&K reports 383 fresh cases, no deaths

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Monday reported 383 fresh cases of Covid-19, pushing the number of active cases to 3,379 while no death was reported in the UT in last 24 hours and death toll stands at 4763

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 383 new cases, 237 belong to Kashmir division while as 146 to Jammu division.

He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 290,580 including 286,490  recoveries and 2,426 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 169,978 including 165,926 recoveries and 2,337 deaths.

He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 3,379 including 1,664 from Kashmir division and 1,715 from Jammu division.

With 243 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 452,416 which is 98.23 percent of the total cases.

“Among the fresh 383 cases today, 105 are from Srinagar, 60 from Baramulla, 10 from Budgam, 13 from Pulwama  09 from Kupwara, 25 from Anantnag, 06 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 07 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while 146 are from Jammu division that include 98 from Jammu district, 17 from Udhampur, 19 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 06 from Kuthua , 02 from Samba, 03 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” said the official.

As per the daily information bulletin 6,600,757 persons in J&K are under observation while 363 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 3,379 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 6,591,492 persons have completed the surveillance period and 462 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,043,186 samples are available.

“Out of 26,043,186 the number of samples tested negative stands at 25,582,628 while 460,588 have tested positive, among them 3,379 cases are active, 452,416 have recovered and 4,763 persons have died,” it added—(KNO)
