LG Sinha assures protesting Pandits

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday assured protesting Kashmiri Pandits that their all grievances would be redressed very soon.

“I honestly will try to redress your all grievances so that you can stay with your family peacefully and properly”, LG Sinha told Kashmiri Pandits at their Sheikhpora Budgam camp which has been witnessing protests for the last over 10 days seeking justice for Rahul Bhat, a revenue employee who was killed by militants on May 12 in his Tehsil Chadoora office.

He said that the administration is for you (Pandits) and for all the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“If there is any doubt or ill feeling in any person’s mind that should not to be heard”, he said and added “for doing something better the hurdles remain there . But I assure you these would be lifted and I assure that all your problems would be redressed with honesty”.

The LG said “I would like to assure you that the pain and agony you are facing, I also feel the same and not less than that of you”.

He said this is a challenge for the administration that an employee is being killed is an unfortunate incident.

“Very soon you would come to know that more things would happen for you and I urge you to stay here during this season and we will be in touch continuously. You also can come to meet me and we will continue talking with each other”, The LG told KPs

He told the Kashmiri Pandits that he would continue to interact with them till the point that they are satisfied and all their desires are fulfilled.

The LG heard all concerns of the Kashmiri Pandits patiently and paid tributes to late Rahul Bhat.
